Square Enix reveals “PLAY ARTS Shin” figure of Final Fantasy IX’s Zidane Tribal

A new, high-end action figure of Zidane Tribal, the protagonist of the classic role-playing game Final Fantasy IX, has been officially revealed.
The new product is the latest entry in Square Enix’s “PLAY ARTS Shin” line of premium, fully articulated figures.

Zidane has previously been released as an action figure in the older “PLAY ARTS” and more recent “BRING ARTS” lines.
This new version, however, is being developed with the latest technology to create a figure that perfectly balances a high range of motion with a faithful recreation of his in-game appearance.

The “PLAY ARTS Shin” brand is positioned as the next evolution of the company’s figure-making, and this new Zidane incorporates several advanced features.
The figure is designed with an extensive articulation system that allows for a wide variety of dynamic poses without compromising the character’s natural silhouette.

A key feature of the “Shin” line is the inclusion of individually movable eyes, which allows for subtle changes in the character’s expression and gaze.
The figure will come with a range of accessories to recreate various scenes from the game.

These include his signature weapons, multiple interchangeable hand parts, and an alternate face plate for a different expression.
His distinctive prehensile tail will also be included as a separate part.
A dedicated display stand will be bundled with the figure to facilitate aerial and action-oriented poses.
This new release aims to be a definitive, high-end version of the nimble and charismatic thief.
The price and a specific release date for the “PLAY ARTS Shin Zidane Tribal” have not yet been announced.
