Square Enix announces re-release of sought-after NieR soundtrack vinyl set

Square Enix has announced that it will be re-releasing its popular vinyl soundtrack collection for the games NieR:Automata and NieR Gestalt & Replicant.
This product is a “revival” of a highly sought-after vinyl set that was originally released as a completely limited-production item back in 2017.

The original four-disc collection sold out quickly and has since become a prized item for collectors and fans of the series’ critically acclaimed music, composed by Keiichi Okabe.
This new version features updated packaging but retains the original jacket artwork, which was a special commission drawn by Sui Ishida, the creator of the popular manga series Tokyo Ghoul.

The new release condenses the collection into a two-disc set, featuring a curated selection of 18 tracks from the original release, with one disc dedicated to NieR:Automata and the other to NieR Gestalt & Replicant.
The records themselves will be pressed on clear-colored vinyl and the curated tracklist for the two-disc set is as follows:
- Disc 1: NieR:Automata
- Side A: “City Ruins – Rays of Light,” “Vague Hope (Cold Rain)” “Amusement Park,” “Pascal”
- Side B: “Peaceful Sleep,” “Copied City,” “Mourning,” “Weight of the World/English Version”
- Disc 2: NieR Gestalt & Replicant
- Side A: “Snow in Summer,” “Hills of Radiant Winds,” “Dispossession (Piano Ver.),” “Grandma,” “Blu-bird,” “Kainé / Salvation”
- Side B: “Song of the Ancients / Atonement,” “Emil / Sacrifice,” “Shadowlord,” “Ashes of Dreams / English Version”
A significant bonus is included with the set.
Each copy comes with a download code that allows the owner to download MP3 versions of all the songs from the original, comprehensive 2017 four-disc release, not just the 18 tracks on the new vinyl.
The set also includes an original, foldable paper record stand.

Customers who purchase the vinyl from Amazon in Japan will also receive a “Mega Jacket,” which is a large-scale print of the album art, as an early purchase bonus.

The new vinyl set is priced at ¥9,350 and it is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, the 22nd of October, 2025.
Pre-orders can now be placed via the Square Enix store, Amazon Japan and select other music stores. A full list of stockists can be found on the official website.
