Slowpoke Shiro-Noir comes to Komeda’s Coffee as part of new Pokémon collab

The Japanese coffee shop chain Komeda has announced the full details of its large-scale collaboration with the Pokémon franchise, titled “Relax Fully with Pokémon.”
The campaign will be held at Komeda’s Coffee and its sister brand, Okagean, at locations across the country.

Komeda’s Coffee is a well-known chain in Japan, famous for its retro, comfortable atmosphere that encourages customers to relax, making the choice of similarly laid-back Pokémon a fitting theme.
Previously, Komeda’s Coffee held another Pokémon collaboration, which saw a variety of merchandise inspired by the coffee chain go on sale to celebrate the re-opening of the Pokémon Center in the chain’s hometown of Nagoya.

The new collaboration will feature a range of original menu items, exclusive merchandise, and a tie-in with the popular mobile game, Pokémon GO.
The centerpiece of the event is a lineup of special food and drinks, each coming with a decorative character pick.
The collaboration menu includes:
- Slowpoke’s Strawberry Chocolate Shiro-Noir: (Price: 960 – 1,220 yen)

This version of Komeda’s signature warm Danish pastry is topped with soft-serve ice cream and a pink strawberry chocolate sauce to represent Slowpoke’s color.
The dish is finished with a fluffy marshmallow inspired by Slowpoke’s tail.
- Snorlax’s Salsa Chicken Katsu Bread: (Price: 1,170 – 1,260 yen)

Inspired by Snorlax’s hearty appetite, this substantial sandwich features a juicy chicken katsu cutlet.
It is topped with a special salsa sauce that provides a spicy and sour flavor suitable for summer, along with the crunch of fresh cabbage.
- Psyduck’s Mango Milk Shaved Ice: (Price: 1,100 – 1,160 yen)

Available at both Komeda’s and Okagean, this shaved ice dessert uses mango milk ice to replicate Psyduck’s yellow color.
It is served with a sweet milk syrup and a mango syrup containing real fruit pulp.
- Rowlet’s Sesame Sauce Kishimen: (Price: 1,180 – 1,260 yen)

An exclusive at the traditional-style cafe Okagean, this cold kishimen noodle dish comes with a sesame dipping sauce containing tofu and cucumber to match Rowlet’s color scheme.
Customers who order one of these collaboration menu items will receive one of seven possible original character charms as a free gift, given out at random.

Stores will also sell a limited-edition “Poké Ball Keychain,” which is crafted using the same patterned fabric found on Komeda’s distinctive sofa seats, for 1,920 yen.

A two-part social media campaign will also be held on the platform X, with the first part offering a chance to win a Pokémon-themed KOMECA e-money card.
The second part of the X campaign will offer fans the chance to win a plush of the Slowpoke’s Strawberry Chocolate Shiro-Noir.

The collaboration also extends into the world of Pokémon GO.
All Komeda’s Coffee and Okagean locations will appear in the game as either Pokéstops or Gyms starting from Thursday, July 17th, 2025.
From July 24th to July 31st, special Legendary Raid Battles will be held at all Komeda-affiliated Gyms every evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The main “Relax Fully with Pokémon” campaign, including the special menu and merchandise, is scheduled to begin on Thursday, July 24th, 2025.
