Sold out Pokémon Center coffee shop collab goods go back on sale for a super limited time

The Pokémon Company has announced a lottery sale for merchandise from the highly popular “Komeda’s Coffee x Pokémon Center Nagoya” collaboration, which immediately sold out on its original release.
Fans who missed out on the initial launch in October 2024 now have a second chance to acquire these coveted items via the Pokémon Center Online store.

Pokémon Center stores serve as the official retail hubs for the Pokémon franchise.
Regional Pokémon Centers, like the one in Nagoya, often feature unique collaborations and limited-edition items that tie into local themes or partners, making them particularly desirable for collectors.
Pokémon Center Nagoya closed last year and re-opened in a larger location in October.
As part of the opening celebrations, a number of Pokémon items inspired by the coffee chain Komeda’s Coffee were created and offered for sale.

Collaborating with major brands from the local area following the opening or re-opening of a store has become increasingly common for the Pokémon Center chain.
Pokémon Center Fukuoka held a similar collaboration with local brands including the ramen restaurant chain Ippudo when it re-opened recently.
Komeda’s Coffee is a prominent Japanese coffee shop chain which originated in Nagoya.
The chain is known for its relaxed atmosphere, distinctive wooden interiors, and signature menu items such as the “Shiro-Noir”, a warm Danish pastry topped with soft-serve ice cream.

The coffee chain is no stranger to collaborations with other brands and is currently running a promotional menu that includes versions of their famous “Shiro-Noir” dessert inspired by the Kit Kat and Black Thunder chocolate bars.
The “Komeda’s Coffee x Pokémon Center Nagoya” collaboration, originally launched on October 10th, 2024, fused the charming aesthetics of Pokémon with Komeda Coffee’s iconic brand.

The collection featured various household goods and plush toys that were designed to evoke the cozy, inviting atmosphere of a Komeda’s Coffee shop as well as incorporating Pokémon characters.
The initial release was met with overwhelming demand, leading to an immediate sell-out and leaving many fans disappointed.
To address this high demand and ensure a fairer distribution of items, The Pokémon Company is now resorting to a lottery system for the six items from the collaboration.
The eligible products for this online lottery include:
- “Sofia’s Mug”: A recreation of the copper “Sofia’s Mug” sold by Komeda’s coffee that replaces the usual image of a man drinking coffee with a Pikachu.

- “Daruma Glass”: A glass shaped like a traditional Japanese Daruma doll. The glass has the Komeda ‘s Coffee logo on one side with a Pokémon version on the other.

- “Boot Glass”: Similar to the daruma glass, this boot shaped drinking glass features both the Komeda ‘s Coffee logo and a Pokémon version of the logo.

- “Komeda’s Coffee Sofa Pattern Fabric Cushion”: A cushion featuring the distinctive upholstery pattern found on Komeda’s Coffee’s sofas.

- “Komeda’s Coffee sofa pattern fabric coaster”: A coaster featuring the same pattern as Komeda’s Coffee’s sofas.

- “Alcremie Shiro-noir style plush toy”: A plush toy of the Pokémon Alcremie, creatively styled to resemble Komeda’s famous Shiro-Noir dessert.

The lottery application window is short and ends at 16:59 JST on May 27th, 2025.
Results for the online lottery are scheduled to be announced after 15:00 JST on May 30th, 2025.
Interested individuals can find detailed application instructions on the Pokémon Center Online website.
In addition to the online lottery, a special in-person lottery sale will also be held at the Pokémon Center Nagoya itself.

This physical sale event is scheduled to run between May 30th and June 3rd.
Due to anticipated high turnout, a pre-lottery system will be implemented for entry into the sales corner.
Those planning to attend the Pokémon Center Nagoya event are advised to check the “staff voice” section on the Pokémon Center Nagoya’s official website for specific details on how to participate in the lottery.
