Shueisha Launches New Free Manga Service with 1 Million Pages in Over 100 Languages

Shueisha has launched a new global digital manga service that gives readers around the world free access to hundreds of officially translated manga series as part of the publisher’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

Called MANGA MILLION, the limited-time platform brings together around 400 manga series spanning approximately one million pages, all professionally translated into more than 100 languages and available without requiring users to create an account.

Shueisha is one of Japan’s largest manga publishers and the home of some of the biggest series ever created, including One Piece, Naruto, BLEACH, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kingdom, Oshi no Ko, SPY×FAMILY and Chainsaw Man, alongside more than 150 shoujo and josei manga such as NANA and Kimi ni Todoke.

Rather than relying on machine translation, every title on the platform has been localized by professional translators, with around 300 series receiving an official English translation for the very first time through the project.

The service also supports a huge range of languages beyond English, including Chinese, Spanish, French, Hindi, Arabic, Turkish, Korean, Polish and Tagalog, with the exact number of available languages varying from series to series.

Another major feature will arrive later this month when MANGA MILLION begins offering near-simultaneous chapter releases for around 30 currently serialized Shueisha manga, allowing readers outside Japan to catch up with new chapters roughly two to three weeks after they debut in Japanese magazines.

One Piece will lead that initiative with new chapters planned in an impressive 96 languages, including Italian, Mongolian, and Swahili, while around 30 additional series that have never previously received simultaneous English releases through MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA will also join the rollout.

Because MANGA MILLION has been created primarily for readers outside Japan, most of its catalog cannot be accessed domestically, although readers in Japan can still browse the complete East Blue Saga of One Piece, covering volumes 1 through 12, in all 107 available languages alongside exclusive English-language editorial features and interviews.

The platform is scheduled to remain available until the end of December 2027, making it one of the largest official free manga initiatives Shueisha has ever undertaken and a significant effort to introduce Japanese manga to readers in countries where many of these series have never previously been officially available.

Free to access with no registration required, MANGA MILLION is available now through Shueisha’s official website, with the service launching worldwide on August 6, 2026, as a limited-time project scheduled to run until the end of December 2027.
