Second wave of pre-orders announced as fan favorite Gundam SEED model kit sells out

A second round of pre-orders has been announced for a popular Gunpla kit that was re-released following a major fan vote.

After the “RG 1/144 Destiny Impulse” Gunpla kit winning the “Premium Bandai Gunpla General Election 2024” fan vote, it was recently announced that a re-release of the kit would occur.

This re-release saw the Gunpla kit become available to pre-order with an August 2025 release date.

Due to overwhelming demand, the initial pre-order period for the kit has now closed, with all stock due to be released in August 2025 sold out.

BANDAI SPIRITS has however confirmed that Gunpla enthusiasts who missed out this release will have another chance to order the kit.

A second round of pre-orders for the “RG 1/144 Destiny Impulse” have opened, with this new wave of stock expected to be released in September, just one month after stock from the previous re-release.

This has taken place alongside the re-release of the”HG 1/144 Genoace O Custom”, another highly sought-after Gunpla model kit.

The “RG 1/144 Destiny Impulse” originates from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny MSV (Mobile Suit Variation), a series of supplemental materials that expand upon the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny anime.

The Destiny Impulse is a variant of the iconic Destiny Gundam, featuring elements of the Impulse Gundam, creating a unique and powerful design that proved very popular among fans.

The “Real Grade (RG)” line, at 1/144 scale, is renowned for its intricate internal frames, exceptional articulation, and high level of detail, packing Master Grade-level complexity into a smaller scale.

Its previous limited availability made it a coveted item or collectors.

The “RG 1/144 Destiny Impulse” will be priced at 5,060 yen (approx. $35.29 USD / £26.12 GBP) with stock from the second wave of pre-orders expected to ship in September 2025.

The “HG 1/144 Genoace O Custom” is from Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, an anime series that spanned three generations of protagonists.

The Genoace O Custom is a modified version of the mass-produced Genoace, piloted by the character Woolf Enneacle, known as the “White Wolf”.

The “High Grade (HG)” line, also at 1/144 scale, is celebrated for its ease of assembly, good articulation, and faithful design reproduction, making it accessible to a wide range of builders.
