Sanrio’s Harmonyland theme park announces “Magical Masquerade” Halloween event

Sanrio’s Harmonyland theme park has announced the full details of its special autumn event, “Harmony Halloween Magical Masquerade.”
This is the second year for the park’s Halloween event, which is themed around a ghostly and mysterious masquerade ball.

The event is built around a concept of “Three Screams,” with different attractions designed to elicit screams of “Horror,” “Excite,” or “Surprise.”

A key attraction is the “Magical Masquerade~ EXCITE!~” live show, an audience-participation event where Hello Kitty and her friends appear in elegant, masquerade-themed costumes.

For the second year, the show is supervised by the acclaimed performance art group Tokyo Gegegay, and features the voice of the popular voice actor, Hiro Shimono.

A separate, paid “Special Greeting” will also be held, where guests can meet and take photos with the characters in their exclusive masquerade outfits.

In the “Horror” category, a special “Ghost Kitty Greeting” will take place at the park’s Kitty Castle, and special, spooky “SCREAM!! Photo Spots” will be set up in the garden area.

The “Surprise” element is centered on a limited-time food menu, which features spicy dishes and drinks with mismatched flavors.

The full menu includes:
- Masquerade Spicy Curry: ¥1,700

- Masquerade RED Chicken: ¥1,000

- Masquerade Hot Dog: ¥700

- Kuromi’s Magical Soda (Blue Lychee, Pink Lemon, Purple Melon, Yellow Berry, or Green Pine): ¥600 each

The three food items are part of a “SCREAM!! BAR” concept, where customers can add one of five different levels of spiciness to their order.
Other events include a “Rock’n Halloween Bingo” game and a special, Halloween-themed version of the park’s “Parade Parallel” show.

The “Harmony Halloween Magical Masquerade” event will be held at the Sanrio Character Park Harmonyland in Hiji, Oita Prefecture.
The event is scheduled to run from Friday, the 12th of September, until Tuesday, the 4th of November, 2025.
