S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl Cost Of Hope Expansion Revealed

Developer GSC Game World has officially announced a major expansion for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl titled Cost of Hope which is scheduled to launch in the summer of 2026.
This upcoming downloadable content serves as the middle chapter of a second trilogy of expansions planned to broaden the narrative of the STALKER saga.
Players will return to the role of the protagonist Skif to experience a nonlinear story that unfolds alongside the events of the core game.
The expansion introduces two significant new regions for players to explore including the iconic Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the treacherous maze of the Iron Forest.
Each of these new areas will feature its own dedicated hub along with unique quests and activities to occupy dozens of hours of gameplay.
The storyline is triggered by a signal on the player’s PDA which leads into a conflict involving the veteran factions Duty and Freedom.
GSC Game World has confirmed that player choices will continue to shape the outcome of the story and the fate of the Zone.
To aid in survival against mutants and anomalies Skif will have access to a variety of new weapons and specialized gear.
The developer intends to reveal more specific details regarding the summer 2026 release date in the near future.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is currently available for players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through platforms like Steam and the Microsoft Store.
