Release date confirmed as ‘Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Witch of Circe’ gets a new trailer and key visual
The highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 hit film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway officially has a release date.
The new movie, titled Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Witch of Circe, is scheduled to be released on Friday, January 30th, 2026.
The release date announcement was accompanied by the appearance of a new teaser trailer and a main key visual.
The first film was a massive critical and commercial success, praised for its stunning visual beauty, its heart-wrenching human drama, and its realistic depictions of the world of the Universal Century.
This new film will continue the story of Hathaway Noa, the son of the legendary captain Bright Noa, as he leads the anti-Earth Federation terrorist group, “Mafty.”
The new teaser trailer delves into the complex human drama at the heart of the story.
The footage showcases Hathaway struggling with his feelings for the mysterious girl, Gigi Andalusia, while still trying to carry out his mission as Mafty.
It also shows the opposing Earth Federation Forces colonel, Kenneth Sleg, as he prepares his plan to annihilate the terrorist group, with Gigi serving as the fateful link between the two men.
In addition to the new promotional materials, some of the new characters who will be introduced in this film have also been revealed on the official website.
It has also been confirmed that the new movie will receive an international theatrical release, with further details to be announced at a later date.
In addition to the movie news, the announcement was part of a larger reveal from the Gundam franchise.
A new, ultimate “GUNDAM Official Website” has been launched, which will serve as a comprehensive portal for all information on the series.
To celebrate its launch, a “Worldwide ‘Gundam’ General Election 2025” has begun, the first-ever global poll for the franchise, where fans from around the world can vote for their favorite Gundam, with the winning mobile suit set to receive a new, original illustration.
Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Witch of Circe is scheduled for a nationwide release in 365 theaters across Japan.
