Recommendation From Mr. Iwamoto Anime Sets July 2026 Premiere And Adds Cast Members
The television anime adaptation of Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto is officially scheduled to premiere in July 2026.
A new trailer and promotional visual were released on March 31, 2026, to provide fans with a fresh look at the upcoming paranormal historical series.
The production team has also revealed three additional cast members, including Akira Ishida as Bokyo Kitsujo, Masaya Fukunishi as Oni Okuaki, and Takuma Nagatsuka as Shizuma Aonuma.
Based on the manga by Hiroshi Shiibashi, the series has been serialized in Ultra Jump since February 2021 and has 13 volumes currently available in Japan.
Set in the 1910s, the story follows Kodou Iwamoto, a third-year student at the Army Seihou Middle School.
The school serves as a specialized military institution dedicated to researching supernatural phenomena to develop powerful weaponry.
Iwamoto travels across Japan under military orders to investigate strange occurrences and encounter individuals possessing extraordinary abilities.
As he distributes letters of recommendation to the academy, the narrative explores his true intentions and the mysteries surrounding these ability users.
Toshifumi Kawase is directing the project at Studio Deen, while Keiichiro Ochi is handling the series composition.
The creative staff includes character designer Atsuko Nakajima, sound director Takuya Hiramitsu, and composers Yoshiaki Dewa and Toru Ishitsuka.
