Rebuild of Evangelion’s Unit-08α Gets New Premium Figure from threezero
threezero has announced the latest addition to its acclaimed ROBO-DOU action figure series, bringing Rebuild of Evangelion’s Evangelion Production Model Custom Type-08α to collectors with an intricately engineered new release.
The new “ROBO-DOU Evangelion Production Model Custom Type-08α” continues the manufacturer’s reputation for producing highly detailed mecha collectibles, combining premium materials with extensive articulation and an impressive selection of accessories.
Rebuild of Evangelion reimagines Hideaki Anno’s landmark anime franchise through a series of theatrical films that introduce updated character designs, new Evangelion units and expanded storylines while retaining the series’ signature blend of action, mystery and psychological drama.
threezero’s “ROBO-DOU Evangelion Production Model Custom Type-08α” recreates the machine’s distinctive multi-eyed head design and streamlined mechanical proportions with a highly detailed sculpt finished in its recognizable pink colour scheme.
A robust internal frame featuring die-cast metal construction provides durability while also delivering 48 points of articulation, allowing the approximately 25 cm tall figure to achieve a wide range of dynamic and stable display poses.
Collectors will receive four pairs of interchangeable hands, an Entry Plug accessory and an Umbilical Cable to recreate scenes from the films.
The weapon selection includes a High-Particle Vibration Short Sword, a pistol complete with a muzzle flash effect part and an Electromagnetic Rifle with its own dedicated firing effect.
The figure also comes equipped with Evangelion Unit-08α’s signature Ultra Long-Distance Rifle, whose impressive size extends to more than half the figure’s overall height to create a dramatic display centerpiece in virtually any action pose.
The combination of intricate sculpting, premium paint applications, metal internal construction and extensive accessories makes this one of the most feature-packed entries in the ROBO-DOU Evangelion lineup to date.
Pricing for the “ROBO-DOU Evangelion Production Model Custom Type-08α” has yet to be announced, while the figure is currently scheduled for release during the fourth quarter of 2026.
