Pre-orders open for new “RG 1/144 G-3 Gundam Ver.2.0” Gunpla kit
A new, exclusive Gunpla kit has been made available for pre-order.
The “RG 1/144 G-3 Gundam Ver.2.0” is part of the Real Grade (RG) line, a series of 1/144 scale model kits known for their incredible detail, complex internal frames, and advanced articulation, rivaling that of the larger Master Grade line.
The G-3 Gundam is a variant of the original RX-78-2 Gundam, originating from the Mobile Suit Gundam novels and the Mobile Suit Variation design series.
It is the third RX-78 unit, famous for being a testbed for the experimental “magnetic coating” technology, which dramatically improved the mobile suit’s reaction speed.
This new “Ver.2.0” kit is a completely modern redesign that uses newly sculpted parts to faithfully recreate the circular details on the elbows, knees, and ankle guards that represent this signature magnetic coating.
The model features an advanced level of articulation, including a sliding mechanism in the legs that reveals dense internal mechanics when the knee is bent.
It also includes a fully functional Core Block System, allowing the Core Fighter to transform and dock inside the torso.
The kit comes with a full set of armaments, including a beam rifle, a beam saber, a shield, and a Hyper Bazooka with an adjustable barrel.
The “RG 1/144 G-3 Gundam Ver.2.0” model kit is priced at ¥4,180.
Pre-orders for the exclusive kit are now open via Premium Bandai and it is scheduled to be shipped to customers in September 2025.
