New Zeta Gundam T-shirts take inspiration from traditional Japanese ink painting

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the “Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam” anime series, the apparel brand STRICT-G is launching a new collection of T-shirts that are 100% made in Japan.
“Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam” first aired from 1985 to 1986 and is widely regarded as one of the most significant installments in the “Gundam” franchise.

Set in the Universal Century timeline, it takes place seven years after the original “Mobile Suit Gundam” series.
The story follows Kamille Bidan, a hot-headed Newtype pilot who joins the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG) to fight against the tyrannical Titans, an elite military faction of the Earth Federation.

This new T-shirt collection is part of the STRICT-G JAPAN series, a line dedicated to showcasing and promoting the appeal of Japanese product design.
The designs feature the main mobile suits from the series rendered in a dynamic, brushstroke-style art, a traditional Japanese aesthetic that gives the designs a unique and artistic flair.
Previous releases from the STRICT-G JAPAN brand include a Hokkaido exclusive T-shirt and keyring featuring the RX-78-02 Gundam from the original anime series.

These new T-shirts are made in Japan from 100% cotton and are available in a range of sizes from S to XXL.
The three designs in the line-up feature the most memorable mobile suits from the series:
