Pre-orders open for new Kagamine Rin/Len NT vocal synthesizer

Crypton Future Media has officially announced a new version of its popular twin vocal synthesizer software that features Kagamine Len and Rin.

“Kagamine Rin/Len NT” will be the latest in the company’s “New Type” series.

Kagamine Rin & Len, who first debuted in 2007, are a beloved pair of virtual singers, a male and female vocal duo sold in a single package, who have become global pop culture icons alongside Hatsune Miku.

This new “NT” version is a complete overhaul of the software, powered by a new, proprietary voice synthesis engine developed by Crypton, the same engine that was recently implemented in the “Hatsune Miku NT” software.

The new engine introduces a variety of new features and editing functions designed to make it easier for creators to achieve their ideal vocal performance.

These include an “Automatic Control” function for easily adjusting pitch and vibrato, as well as a suite of powerful voice effectors such as “Vocal Morphing,” “Voice Drive,” and “Super Formant Shifter,” which allow for the creation of a wide range of vocal styles, from a natural, human-like dynamic to robotic sounds and even death growls.

The software includes a total of four newly recorded voice libraries.

Both Rin and Len have an “Original+” library, which is a powerful and energetic vocal, and a “Whisper+” library, which provides a gentle and breathy tone.

To demonstrate the capabilities of the new software, a new vocal demonstration video has also been released.

The “Kagamine Rin/Len NT” package is a complete music production solution.

It includes the “Piapro Studio NT2” vocal editor and a copy of the “Cubase LE” digital audio workstation (DAW) software.

The new software is being sold through Crypton’s official “SONICWIRE” digital storefront.

The standard price for “Kagamine Rin/Len NT” is ¥19,800.

Special discounted “Upgrade” and “Crossgrade” pricing is also available for existing owners of other Crypton virtual singer products.

The new software is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, the 15th of October, 2025, however, pre-orders are now open via the official SONICWIRE website.
