Pre-Orders Open for DreadOut Remastered Collection on Xbox

Soft Source Publishing and developer Digital Happiness have announced the release date for the “DreadOut Remastered Collection” on Xbox.
The supernatural horror compilation is scheduled to launch on January 14 and will be priced at $29.99.

Interested players can already secure their copy, as pre-orders are currently available via the Microsoft Store.
This forthcoming Xbox version follows the collection’s earlier availability on other platforms.

The “DreadOut Remastered Collection” initially premiered on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on January 16, 2025.
This was followed by a PC release via Steam on May 14, 2025.

The compilation has been described as a collector’s package, bundling the original “DreadOut” and its expansion, “DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark”.
The new Xbox release will be playable on both Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles.

“DreadOut” draws on the established themes of Asian horror, presenting a third-person supernatural game where players control Linda, a high school student.
After a group of students strays from a field trip, they stumble upon an old, secluded town.

Linda must navigate this environment, which is fraught with sinister forces and terrifying spiritual encounters. To survive and solve the mysterious puzzles that dictate her fate, she is armed only with a trusty smart-phone and an SLR camera.
As the narrative unfolds, Linda experiences the stirrings of unfamiliar, emerging powers that may be the key to saving her own life and the lives of her companions.

The second component of the package, “DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark”, is a standalone horror game set within the same universe, serving as a missing chapter in the ongoing saga.
In this installment, Linda is transported by The Mysterious Lady in Red into The Mirror Realm.

This realm functions as a portal connecting to eight haunted dominions, where she must face over 13 horrific ghosts.
This terrifying gauntlet forces players to choose their path carefully, as the doors opened ultimately determine Linda’s outcome in her fight for survival against overwhelming odds.
