Collab Exclusive Pokémon 30th Anniversary Jackets Feature the Kanto Starters
A major new promotional campaign for the 30th anniversary of Pokémon will see fans given the chance to win exclusive jackets inspired by the starter creatures from the original game.
Since the original release of the games in February 1996, the franchise has grown into a monumental global phenomenon.
Players explore diverse regions, battling and befriending a huge variety of unique creatures on their journey to become a champion.
To celebrate this incredible thirty-year milestone, Japan’s popular BOSS Coffee brand is giving fans a chance to win incredibly rare themed apparel.
By purchasing eligible six-packs of canned coffee, buyers can enter a special lottery to win one of three highly unique jackets.
These special clothing items are inspired by the fan-favorite Kanto region starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
Only five lucky winners will be selected for each of the three distinct designs.
The Bulbasaur design features a functional, removable backpack attached to the back, allowing the wearer to carry plants or flowers just like the grass-type creature.
The Charmander variant includes a built-in LED light on the waist that glows in dark places, mimicking its fiery tail.
The Squirtle jacket is a rainproof design that comes equipped with a functional water gun and a storage backpack.
As a supporting release, Suntory is completely revamping the packaging of its five core canned coffee blends to feature Pokedex information and colorful character illustrations.
A separate QR code campaign will also offer fans the chance to win special footprint-themed t-shirts.

These special collaborative beverages are planned to be sold at participating supermarkets and retail locations nationwide across Japan.
The lottery campaign to win the exclusive jackets will officially run from Monday, June 1, to Monday, August 31, 2026.
