Pokémon dev Game Freak unveils Beast of Reincarnation, coming to Xbox, PC, and PS5 in 2026

Game Freak, the studio behind the popular Pokémon series, officially unveiled its new action-adventure title, Beast of Reincarnation, during today’s Xbox Games Showcase.
Formerly known as Project Bloom, the game was initially announced in 2023 following Game Freak’s publishing deal with Private Division.
The reveal included a new gameplay trailer, offering the first look at the title ahead of its release next year.

Beast of Reincarnation will launch across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5, and will also be available on Game Pass for both Xbox and PC starting day one.
Beast of Reincarnation transports players to a post-apocalyptic Japan.

Gamers will assume the role of Emma the Sealer, tasked with confronting the source of the world’s pervasive corruption in an effort to save humanity.

The trailer showcased significant elements of the third-person action-adventure gameplay, featuring intense combat against colossal beasts, alongside exploration and platforming sections.

The game’s world appears to be a striking blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics and sci-fi elements, creating a unique and visually compelling setting.

The title will be published by Fictions, a newly established game publisher founded by a collective of game developers.

Mika Kurasawa, executive producer at Fictions, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration.
“It’s incredible to be working with game director Furushima-san and the renowned development team at Game Freak. We greatly value their continued collaboration and trust,” said Kurasawa.
“We are so excited to show players a glimpse into the stunning world and intense combat of Beast of Reincarnation.”
