Pokémon Center Reveals Exclusive FireRed and LeafGreen Physical Bundles

The Pokémon Company has officially announced an upcoming release featuring premium physical bundles for two classic titles.
The Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen Special Edition sets bring the nostalgic Game Boy Advance adventures to modern consoles with a variety of exclusive collectibles.

Pokémon is a massive multimedia franchise that first launched in 1996, tasking players with catching, training, and battling fascinating creatures across various regions.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the series, prompting widespread celebrations and the return of these Game Boy Advance classics to the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.

While the games themselves will be available digitally worldwide, these physical commemorative sets offer hardcore fans a unique way to celebrate the milestone.

Each version includes a download card for either Pokémon FireRed or Pokémon LeafGreen, allowing players to experience the remade classics on modern hardware.

The download codes remain valid until Friday, July 31, 2026, ensuring fans have ample time to redeem their games on the Nintendo eShop.

To capture the nostalgia of the 2004 releases, the bundles include authentic reproductions of the original Game Boy Advance packaging.

Fans will receive the reproduction boxes for both versions regardless of which game they choose to purchase, though they do not include the retro cartridges or manuals.

The highlight of these sets is a stunning glass Poké Ball object featuring 3D laser engravings of the three Kanto partner Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

This beautiful centerpiece comes with a dedicated display case, a pedestal, and an acrylic plate that lights up in different colors to represent the elemental types of the starters.

The display case is further decorated with the official 30th-anniversary logo, along with foil-stamped and embossed artwork of Charizard and Venusaur.

It requires nine AAA batteries to operate the lighting features, which must be purchased separately.

The sets are priced at 19,800 yen (approx. $132 USD / £104 GBP) each.

These premium bundles are exclusively available to purchase in Japan through the Pokémon Center Online store.

Sales are scheduled to begin on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM JST.

Customers must have a registered account with phone number verification completed to place an order, and purchases are strictly limited to one per person.

At this time, no international release has been announced for these commemorative sets.
