PG UNLEASHED 1/60 Nu GUNDAM Gets Limited Restock at P-Bandai US

The PG Unleashed 1/60 ν Gundam is back in stock at Premium Bandai US, giving American builders another opportunity to order one of the largest and most technically ambitious Gunpla kits Bandai has ever created.

The kit was last offered in the US through an advance preorder earlier this year, with shipping taking place in February.

Its return as an in-stock item means fans who missed that window no longer need to wait for another preorder production batch, although availability will naturally depend on how many units Premium Bandai has secured for the restock.

Released as one of the flagship products celebrating the 45th anniversary of Gunpla, the ν Gundam is the second Mobile Suit to receive the PG Unleashed treatment following the RX-78-2 Gundam that launched the line in December 2020.

The RX-93 ν Gundam originates from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack and serves as the final dedicated Mobile Suit piloted by Amuro Ray during his confrontation with Char Aznable in Universal Century 0093.

Developed by Anaheim Electronics with Amuro directly involved in its creation, the ν Gundam incorporated Psycho-Frame material around its cockpit and became the first Gundam-type Mobile Suit equipped with a fully operational Psycommu system to enter actual combat.

For this kit, Bandai has recreated the machine at 1/60 scale for the first time, producing a model with an overall length of approximately 55.7 cm when displayed with its fin funnels.

The build centers on what Bandai calls the Ultimate Unit System, which uses an extensively developed internal frame to let builders assemble the ν Gundam as a functioning mechanical structure before covering it with the exterior armor.

Rather than simply hiding the frame once construction is complete, numerous sections of the armor can be opened, rotated, shifted, or removed to expose the mechanical details underneath and recreate the appearance of the ν Gundam undergoing maintenance aboard the Ra Cailum.

The head includes separate moving sections around the forehead, crown, sides, and collar, allowing the armor to open and reveal the internal construction surrounding the camera eyes, sensors, antennae, and head-mounted Vulcan guns.

Bandai has also included special cover stickers that conceal the camera eyes and sensors, recreating the unfinished appearance of the ν Gundam’s head during the opening title sequence of Char’s Counterattack.

The shoulder assemblies contain folding curved armor, independently rotating and sliding side panels, movable square verniers, and joint bases that shift to prevent the armor from restricting the movement of the arms.

Across the chest, the central block and side armor can be unfolded while the red hatch slides open to expose the inner cockpit block, with additional joints inside the torso supporting forward movement, twisting poses, and vertical movement around the shoulders.

The upper arms, elbows, and wrists incorporate multiple rolling and rotating mechanisms, while the left forearm retains the ν Gundam’s integrated beam saber storage rack.

Every finger on the main articulated hands can be moved, and the covers at the tips can be opened to reveal the dummy Mobile Suit thrusters used during the climactic events of the movie.

Additional interchangeable hands are provided for closed-fist, open-palm, and weapon-holding poses, giving builders more secure alternatives when displaying the large weapons included with the kit.

The waist can shift forward and backward after its internal locks are released, the hip joints can be repositioned, and the surrounding skirt armor includes further opening panels and mechanical details.

Moving the knees causes sections of the thigh and kneepad armor to split and slide alongside the joints, while separate thruster covers can be opened across the thighs, knees, calves, and feet.

The ν Gundam’s fin funnels have been redesigned around the size and structural demands of the 1/60 scale kit, with sliding and rotating components allowing each funnel to be displayed in three different deployment states.

The funnels can still be connected into the familiar asymmetrical arrangement carried on the backpack, and their connecting components can be stored inside the assemblies when they are not being used.

Dedicated support parts attach to the display post to stabilize the completed ν Gundam while it is carrying the full weight of the funnel equipment.

Its beam rifle includes a sliding forward section and a rotating carry handle, adding mechanical movement to a weapon that is often presented as a comparatively simple accessory on smaller ν Gundam kits.

The shield contains the ν Gundam’s built-in beam cannon and four missiles, with dedicated connection parts allowing it to be mounted securely on either forearm.

Two different beam sabers are included alongside clear pink effect parts, with the saber stored on the backpack featuring its recognizable curved main blade and a second blade that extends from the bottom of the handle.

The New Hyper Bazooka has been given its own mechanical features, including a sliding barrel, rotating grip, removable magazine, and individual detachable warheads.

An adjustable support arm is also included to help manage the considerable size and weight of the bazooka when creating action poses.

The exterior uses multiple variations of the ν Gundam’s white, navy blue, yellow, and gray colors, with Bandai dividing each main color into two or three subtly different shades to give the armor a more layered appearance without requiring paint.

The internal frame combines several metallic molding colors across its trusses, joints, propellers, and surrounding mechanical components, ensuring that the model remains visually detailed even when displayed without sections of its outer armor.

Multi-layered metallic 3D stickers are used around areas intended to resemble illuminated components, with transparent layers creating greater depth than conventional flat foil stickers.

Gateless etching stickers add a genuine metallic finish to smaller mechanical surfaces and recessed spaces, while flexible lead wires reproduce cables that would be difficult to create convincingly through standard injection-molded parts.

Physical metal components are used for the main thruster nozzles and the barrels of the head-mounted Vulcan guns, allowing these areas to feature thinner edges and a sharper finish than equivalent plastic pieces.

The cockpit block also contains specially detailed Psycho-Frame sections designed to reproduce the illuminated material surrounding Amuro’s cockpit.

Bandai released a dedicated PG Unleashed 1/60 LED Unit for the ν Gundam separately, allowing compatible Psycho-Frame sections and multiple other areas of the completed model to light up, although this lighting equipment is not part of the standard kit and must be purchased separately.

The PG Unleashed 1/60 ν Gundam arrived back in stock at Premium Bandai US on July 23, 2026, with the kit currently listed as in stock at the time of writing for $690.
