The Apothecary Diaries Movie Fully Reveals Its First Official Merch Collection
The Apothecary Diaries is getting a major new official merchandise collection, with Bandai finally revealing the complete prize lineup for an Ichiban Kuji lottery based on the series’ first theatrical movie.
“Ichiban Kuji The Apothecary Diaries: The Late Lady’s Treasure” is the first to draw directly on the film’s story and designs, following earlier releases inspired by the television anime.
Ichiban Kuji is Bandai’s popular prize lottery format, where customers purchase a ticket to receive a randomly assigned prize from a collection of exclusive merchandise, with every ticket guaranteed to win something.
Based on the light novel series written by Natsu Hyūga, The Apothecary Diaries follows Maomao, a young apothecary whose extensive knowledge of medicine and poisons leads her to uncover dangerous mysteries within the imperial palace.
Her intelligence attracts the attention of Jinshi, an influential palace official who regularly seeks her assistance with unusual incidents, with their developing relationship becoming one of the central elements of the story.
The franchise received its first anime adaptation in 2023, followed by a second season in 2025 and a third season that began airing earlier this month.
The Apothecary Diaries: The Late Lady’s Treasure introduces an original story developed by Hyūga, following Maomao and Jinshi as they travel south to return the remains of a deceased imperial consort to her homeland.
Their journey takes them to a bustling water city, where they become involved in a mystery surrounding the unusually preserved body, a hidden treasure and pirates operating throughout the region.
When Bandai first revealed the lottery’s headline figures in July, it confirmed Maomao, Jinshi and the special Last One reward, leaving the rest of the prize lineup under wraps until now.
The A and B prizes introduce Dioramiquemaster, a new figure series that combines character sculptures with detailed scenic bases inspired by their respective stories.
Let’s take a closer look at the complete lineup!
- A Prize: “Maomao Dioramiquemaster Figure”
A 15 cm figure depicting Maomao seated in her green outfit from the movie, surrounded by a decorative base incorporating flowers, wooden structures and flowing water effects.
- B Prize: “Jinshi Dioramiquemaster Figure”
Standing approximately 16 cm tall, Jinshi appears in his elegant purple theatrical costume, seated beside a large flower on a detailed base that complements Maomao’s figure.
- C Prize: “Big Acrylic Stand”
A 16 cm acrylic display featuring newly commissioned artwork of Maomao and Jinshi wearing their outfits from the movie.
- D Prize: “Kirarise Mascots”
Two selectable miniature mascots measuring approximately 10 cm each, featuring Maomao and Jinshi in their movie costumes with cute, stylized proportions.
- E Prize: “Metal Charms”
Five selectable metal charms measuring approximately 5 cm each, featuring decorative designs inspired by The Apothecary Diaries and its characters.
- F Prize: “Rubber Collection”
Five selectable designs consisting of character-themed rubber charms measuring approximately 6 cm and decorative rubber coasters measuring approximately 10 cm.
- G Prize: “Acrylic Stands”
Five randomly awarded acrylic stands measuring approximately 6.5–8 cm, featuring original movie artwork and a two-way display design.
- H Prize: “Mini Illustration Boards”
Five randomly awarded miniature illustration boards measuring approximately 13 cm, featuring newly commissioned artwork created for the theatrical release.
- Last One Prize: “Maomao Figure”
An exclusive 18 cm figure depicting Maomao standing on a decorative base inspired by the movie’s setting, surrounded by water and floral details as she raises a hand to shield her eyes from the sunlight.
The Last One Prize is awarded to the customer who purchases the final remaining ticket in a particular lottery batch, giving collectors an opportunity to obtain the special Maomao figure once the other prizes have been claimed.
Bandai has also confirmed that the same figure will be available through the lottery’s Double Chance Campaign, with 50 additional prizes being awarded through a separate draw running until the end of March 2027.
This is the second major Ichiban Kuji collection based on The Apothecary Diaries during 2026, following an earlier release featuring a large Maomao MASTERLISE figure inspired by her dancing appearance from the first anime season.
That collection also included miniature figures, decorative plates and other character merchandise, with the theatrical edition introducing a wider selection of products featuring costumes and artwork from the film.
The new lottery arrives shortly before the theatrical premiere of “The Apothecary Diaries: The Late Lady’s Treasure”, which is officially scheduled to open in Japanese cinemas on December 11, 2026.
The “Ichiban Kuji The Apothecary Diaries: The Late Lady’s Treasure” lottery is scheduled to launch across Japan on December 5, 2026, priced at ¥800 per entry (approximately $5 / £4).
Tickets will be available through participating FamilyMart convenience stores and official Ichiban Kuji shops, with Ichiban Kuji ONLINE scheduled to begin sales separately on January 4, 2027, at 2 PM JST.
