PC gamers miss out as new Beyblade game gifts Switch owners a real Beyblade

“Beyblade X Evo Battle” is set to release on the Nintendo Switch and Steam, but only Switch players will receive an exclusive real Beyblade with the game.
The new game is based on the fourth generation of the “Beyblade” series, “BEYBLADE X”.

The “Beyblade” franchise is a modern adaptation of the traditional Japanese spinning top toy “Beigoma” and was first introduced in 1999.
These “modifiable battle tops” gained immense popularity due to their customizable design, allowing players to rearrange parts for strategic advantages, and their ease of use with a special launcher.

The series has spanned multiple generations, including “Bakuten Shoot Beyblade” (1999-2005), “Metal Fight Beyblade” (2008-2012), and “Beyblade Burst” (2015-2022), selling over 520 million units worldwide across more than 80 countries and regions as of April 2023.
“BEYBLADE X” the fourth and current generation, launched in July 2023. It introduces a new “X (Extreme) Dash” gimmick.

This feature utilizes gears on the Beyblade’s axis that mesh with rails on the stadium, creating super-accelerated battles.
This addition has transformed Beyblade into a “GEAR SPORTS” experience, appealing to both players and spectators.

The “BEYBLADE X” manga, written by Homura Kawamoto and Hikaru Muno with art by Posuka Demizu and ZIONAO, has been serialized in Shogakukan’s “Monthly CoroCoro Comic” since June 2023, and a “BEYBLADE X” TV anime series has been airing on TV Tokyo since October 2023.
“Beyblade X Evo Battle” builds upon the previous game in the series, “Beyblade X XONE” which was released in November 2024.

The new game aims to replicate the excitement of real-life Beyblade battles with customizable Beyblades and strategic gameplay, further enhanced by three key “Evo” (Evolution) features:
- Evo Battle:
- The game features “ultra-high-speed action” with an emphasis on instantaneous command actions. The “X (Extreme) Line” stadium, a core element of “BEYBLADE X,” returns, allowing for “X (Extreme) Dashes.” Battle tactics and strategies will vary greatly depending on Beyblade types and characteristics, mirroring the real-world game.
- Online battles will allow players to compete against bladers worldwide, aiming for the top spot.

- Evo Story:
- A completely new single-player story mode will feature new characters, including Tenka Shirahoshi (voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi) from the “BEYBLADE X” anime, along with original game-exclusive characters. Players will team up with new friends and compete to win the “Bay Battle Royale.”

- Evo Customization:
- Reflecting the evolving customization options in the real-world “BEYBLADE X” series with the introduction of the CX (Custom Line) in 2025, the game will offer a wide range of customization possibilities. Players can collect materials and even apply custom color coatings to create their unique “one-of-a-kind BEYBLADE.”

Players who own the previous game, “Beyblade X XONE” will also receive in-game “prize money” based on their progress, which can be used to strengthen Beyblades or purchase new ones.
Owners of paid digital booster packs from the previous game will also receive the “blades” of their acquired Beyblades in “Beyblade X Evo Battle”.

The physical copy of the Nintendo Switch version of “Beyblade X Evo Battle” will also include a real-world Beyblade: the “Leonfang T4-60A Red Ver.” (CX-00).

This limited-edition, red-colored version of the Leonfang Beyblade is exclusive to the game and can be used with other “BEYBLADE X” series tops released by Takara Tomy.

This exclusive Beyblade will not be available with any of the downloadable versions of the game, which means that PC gamers will miss out.
The game is currently only planned to have a physical release on Nintendo Switch.
A downloadable version will be available for Switch and also for PC where it will be sold via Steam.

To commemorate the game’s announcement, an online campaign is being held on the official “Beyblade X Evo Battle” X (formerly Twitter) account, giving three lucky winners the chance to win the rare “BX-00 Mammoth Tusk 2-80E Metal Coat: Black” Beyblade, which is typically only available to purchase through an app and at special events.

“Beyblade X Evo Battle” is scheduled to launch on Thursday, November 13th, 2025.
Physical copies for the Nintendo Switch will be priced at 8,228 yen (tax included).
Pre-orders placed directly with the developer, FuRyu, will include two bonus items: an in-game code for the “CX-00 Leonfang T4-60A Rainbow Coat” Beyblade and a sticker set for real-world Beyblades.
Prices for the downloadable version on both Switch and PC/Steam are yet to be announced.
