Orders Open as Kingdom Heart’s II’s Axel Joins Square Enix’s FORM-ISM Figure Line

Square Enix has officially opened pre-orders for a new Kingdom Hearts figure that recreates one of Organization XIII’s most popular members in the middle of battle.
The “Kingdom Hearts II FORM-ISM Axel” captures Axel wielding his familiar pair of chakrams, with his black Organization XIII coat sweeping outward to add movement to the fixed pose.

FORM-ISM is one of Square Enix’s fixed figure series, with releases focusing on recreating recognizable character poses with detailed sculpting while retaining a more affordable price point than many larger-scale figure lines.

Kingdom Hearts II originally launched in Japan in 2005, continuing Sora’s journey across Disney-inspired worlds while greatly expanding the role of Organization XIII and the mystery surrounding the Nobodies.

Axel serves as Organization XIII’s Number VIII and becomes one of the game’s most important supporting characters through his friendship with Roxas, eventually placing his personal loyalty at odds with the organization he serves.

Fire plays a major role in his fighting style, with Axel using two large circular chakrams that can be thrown at enemies or wielded directly during close-range combat.
The new FORM-ISM figure focuses directly on that side of the character, positioning Axel in a wide combat stance with a chakram held in each hand and the lower sections of his coat flowing behind him.

His familiar spiked red hair forms another major part of the sculpt, while his black Organization XIII uniform gives the red and silver detailing across his weapons much more visual impact.
The figure stands 19 cm tall, giving Square Enix enough room to emphasize Axel’s long silhouette and oversized weapons without moving into larger scale figure territory.

Axel joins another major Kingdom Hearts II character already represented in the series, with the “Kingdom Hearts II FORM-ISM Roxas” released earlier in 2026.

Roxas was sculpted with his Keyblade drawn and coat flowing around him in a similarly action-focused pose, making the two figures a natural pairing given the importance of Axel and Roxas’ relationship throughout Kingdom Hearts II.

Their friendship becomes one of the central emotional threads surrounding Organization XIII, particularly through Roxas’ decision to leave the group and Axel’s attempts to bring his former friend back.

Square Enix has also continued expanding FORM-ISM into articulated figures, with the upcoming “Kingdom Hearts III FORM-ISM ACT Sora” currently scheduled for release in January 2027.

The “Kingdom Hearts II FORM-ISM Axel” is priced at ¥11,000 (approx. $69 USD / £51 GBP), with its release currently scheduled for December 26, 2026.
Pre-orders are now open through the official Square Enix e-Store within Japan, whilst international fans can find the figure through reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan that offer worldwide shipping.
