Evangelion Returns to 2.0’s Most Memorable Moments for Exclusive New Collection

Bandai has fully revealed its next Evangelion Ichiban Kuji, which is set to recreate some of the biggest moments from Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance through a series of exclusive prizes.
The new “Ichiban Kuji Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance” collection includes detailed figures, character-themed accessories and artwork inspired by the second Rebuild of Evangelion movie.

Ichiban Kuji is Bandai’s lottery-style merchandise format, where each purchased ticket guarantees a prize from a collection of different tiers, with a special Last One Prize awarded to whoever purchases the final remaining ticket at a participating location.

Originally released in 2009, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance continued director Hideaki Anno’s reimagining of the original anime, introducing new characters and major changes to the story as Shinji Ikari and his fellow pilots fought increasingly dangerous Angels.

Among its most memorable moments was Shinji’s desperate attempt to rescue Rei Ayanami from the Tenth Angel, pushing Evangelion Unit-01 beyond its limits and triggering one of the film’s most important events.

Bandai previously revisited the first Rebuild movie with an Evangelion: 1.0 Ichiban Kuji collection, which recreated the famous Operation Yashima battle through an enormous Unit-01 figure, alongside additional prizes featuring Rei, Misato Katsuragi, Pen Pen and the Sixth Angel.

The new release continues that approach with figures based on specific scenes from the second movie, including several that have rarely been recreated in official merchandise.

Let’s take a look at the full collection!
