Opanchusagi Announces Massive Kyoto Collaboration
Popular creator KAWAISOUNI! is bringing his beloved characters to Kyoto for a “miraculous collaboration project” launching this November.
The month-long event will feature the fan-favorite characters “Opanchusagi,” “Npochamu,” and “Kimimaro” in a city-wide celebration.
Fans can look forward to exclusive Kyoto-themed merchandise, a stamp rally across the city, and special character greeting events.
Event Overview
The collaboration officially kicks off on Saturday, November 1st, and runs until Sunday, November 30th, 2025.
A key feature is a free stamp rally held at six locations throughout Kyoto City.
Participants who collect all six stamps on a rally sheet can redeem it at the BiVi Nijo pop-up shop for an original sticker.
A special day of character appearances is scheduled for Saturday, November 15th, featuring the first-ever joint appearance of all three characters.
The schedule includes:
- 10:00 AM: A photo session at JR Kyoto Station (requires a lottery ticket).
- 1:00 PM: A character greeting at Lacto Yamashina “Sound Square” (no ticket required).
- 4:00 PM: A character greeting at BiVi Nijo (no ticket required).
To promote the event, hanging advertisements have already begun appearing on JR West trains in the Kansai area since October 20th.

A lineup of limited-edition original merchandise featuring Kyoto-themed designs of the characters will be available for purchase, both in-person and online.
The pop-up shop at BiVi Nijo will have limited stock, while the online store will be made-to-order with an expected ship date of February 2026.
