Fans of the popular anime “The Apothecary Diaries” can now adorn themselves with exquisite jewelry inspired by their favorite characters!
KARATZ Inc., the company behind Japan’s leading gemstone information website “KARATZ Gem Magazine,” has announced a collaboration, creating stunning rings and earrings themed after Maomao and Jinshi.
The collection features rings inspired by both Maomao and Jinshi, as well as earrings reminiscent of Maomao’s attire when she worked at the pleasure district.
Maomao Model Ring
Inspired by Maomao’s everyday wear, this ring connects two gemstones representing her hair ornaments with a motif symbolizing her beloved medicinal herbs. Delicate detailing adds an eye-catching touch.

These earrings evoke the jewelry Maomao wore when working at banquets in the pleasure district.
Carefully selected chrysoprase captures the color palette of the anime’s world.

Each collaborative jewelry purchase will include a specially designed jewelry box.
The design of the box will vary depending on the specific jewelry piece purchased, adding an extra element of collectible charm. Box designs will be revealed by KARATZ closer to the product release date.

KARATZ, as a gemstone specialist, has meticulously selected the stones for this collaboration, including those directly sourced by their gem appraisers from around the world.
The jade used in the Maomao ring is from Myanmar, while the rhodolite garnet and sky blue topaz were chosen specifically for their ability to replicate the colors of her hair ornaments.
The iolite and tanzanite in the Jinshi ring were sourced in Hong Kong, a major gemstone hub, and their pleochroic properties allow for fascinating color shifts depending on the viewing angle.
The chrysoprase for the Maomao earrings was carefully selected from Australia to match the anime’s depiction.
To ensure lasting quality, the silver pieces are made with SILVER925 and gold plating, while the gold pieces utilize K18 yellow gold (75% pure gold).
These collaborative treasures will be available for pre-order exclusively through the “KARATZ STORE” online shop starting Friday, May 23rd, 2025, at 10:00 PM JST. The online pre-order will close on Monday, June 30th, 2025, at 11:59 PM JST.
Additionally, KARATZ will be hosting pop-up stores from May 23rd to May 29th at Shinjuku Marui Annex, and from June 12th to June 15th at Hakata Marui.
