First-ever Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Nendoroid Announced by Good Smile Company
A new Nendoroid figure of Esquie, the beloved mascot character from the hit RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has been announced.
It was revealed during the “Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter” online presentation on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
This announcement marks the first figure from the turn-based role-playing game developed by Sandfall Interactive to join the Nendoroid series.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is set in a world inspired by Belle Époque France, where players lead an expedition to destroy the Paintress, an entity who wakes once a year to paint a cursed number that erases everyone of that age.
Esquie is a mythical and powerful being encountered by the expedition party, quickly becoming a fan favourite due to his whimsical nature and round, friendly appearance.
In the game, legends describe him as a creature who has existed since the dawn of time, capable of soaring through the heavens and diving deep beneath the sea, though he is also humorously noted for his laziness.
He serves a crucial gameplay role as the primary mode of transportation for the party, allowing them to traverse difficult terrain, swim through waters, and eventually fly to new locations.
The Nendoroid figure is expected to capture his distinct “friend-shaped” silhouette and expressive face, translating his soft, creature design into the line’s signature chibi aesthetic.
This reveal was part of a major showcase of RPG characters at the event, which also included significant announcements for the Final Fantasy franchise.
Alongside Esquie, Good Smile Company revealed Nendoroids for the iconic Chocobo and the original Warrior of Light, as well as the Final Fantasy XIV trio of Y’shtola, G’raha Tia, and Estinien.
The “Nendoroid Esquie” does not yet have a confirmed price or release date.
Information regarding the release schedule will be announced at a later date by Good Smile Company.
