Official NieR:Automata fashion collection expands with new 9S-themed boots
The Japanese ladies’ fashion brand MAYLA has announced a new item in its collaboration with the anime series, NieR:Automata Ver1.1a, with a pair of boots inspired by the character 9S.
The new boots join a previously released collection of items based on the character 2B, creating a comprehensive lineup for fans of the series.
MAYLA is a brand known for creating elegant and ornate footwear and accessories, often in collaboration with popular anime and video game franchises.
NieR:Automata Ver1.1a is the television anime adaptation of the critically acclaimed action RPG, which tells the story of androids 2B and 9S in a post-apocalyptic future.
The full collection from MAYLA translates the iconic designs of the two main characters into high-fashion pieces.

The newest addition to the collection, these short boots translate the specific details of the scanner android’s in-game outfit into footwear.
They feature military-style metal parts, a neck piece that mimics his choker, and a ribbon designed to look like his goggles.

These elegant pumps are based on the YoRHa combat android 2B.
The design incorporates elements of her sleek, gothic lolita-style combat dress, with ribbons and delicate details that capture her aesthetic.

There are two set of earrings available to collect, one based on 9S and one based on 2B.
Both set of earrings are based on a colorway to represent the characters.
The 2B version is a black and silver design with star gem detailing at the top and intricate cut out designs.
The 9S version features a black and gold interconnecting design and details inspired by his iconic choker.
Each pair of earrings comes presented in their own box with a display frame style insert.
Each of the footwear items is delivered in a special collector’s shoebox, which features an illustration of the respective character and a field of “Lunar Tears,” a flower with deep significance in the world of NieR.
The previously released 2B-themed pumps and ear “objets” are currently available for purchase.
Pre-orders for the new 9S-themed short boots are scheduled to open on the official MAYLA website from Friday, the 1st of August, 2025, at 5:00 PM Japan Standard Time.
The pre-order window is scheduled to remain open until 12:00 PM on the 4th of September, 2025.
