New Third-Person Shooter Remake of Arizona Sunshine Coming to PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and PC

Vertigo Games officially announced a third-person shooter remake of the virtual reality title Arizona Sunshine on June 6, 2026.
The upcoming remake is scheduled for release in 2026 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
This new version transitions the game into a fully flat-screen experience, moving away from its original VR roots, now known as Arizona Sunshine VR.
Players will follow the story of Sunny, a survivor with a dark sense of humor, as he travels across a zombified Arizona with his canine companion, Buddy.
The game features a narrative-driven solo campaign as well as chaotic cooperative modes supporting both two-player online and local split-screen play.
For the first time in the series, the dog Buddy is a fully playable character during cooperative sessions to help players take down the undead enemies referred to as Freds.
Combat includes an array of weapons such as machetes, shotguns, and flamethrowers to handle massive hordes of zombies in a reimagined third-person perspective.
Beyond the core gameplay, the title offers survivor customization with various outfits and cosmetics to personalize the apocalyptic experience.
