New Star Wars: The Mandalorian potato chips are only available in Japan
New Star Wars potato chips featuring packaging inspired by The Mandalorian have launched exclusively in Japan.
“Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Black Pepper Chips” are currently on sale and will be available in limited quantities until they sell out.
Each pack of this new snack also includes a collectible “capture card” featuring scenes and characters from the show.
“The Mandalorian” is part of the Star Wars universe and premiered in 2019 on the Disney+ streaming service.
Set after the events of Return of the Jedi and before the rise of the First Order, the series follows a solitary Mandalorian bounty hunter called Din Djarin.
His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Grogu, a Force-sensitive infant of the same species as Jedi Master Yoda.
The series quickly became a global phenomenon, praised for its compelling storytelling, stunning visuals and the undeniable charm of “The Child” (Grogu).
The “Star Wars: The Mandalorian/Black Pepper Chips” are bite-sized, crunchy snacks flavored with black pepper.
The chips have three distinct package designs, each featuring imagery from “The Mandalorian” series.
Each 30g bag of chips contains one randomly selected card from a collection of 30 unique designs.
These cards capture iconic scenes from “The Mandalorian,” showcasing pivotal moments and important characters from the adventures of the bounty hunter Din Djarin and Grogu.
The inclusion of 30 different cards should appeal to collectors and encourage repeat purchases to complete the set.
For avid collectors, there is a special incentive for bulk purchases.
At some e-commerce shops, orders of 40 bags of chips will be shipped in a large, specially designed cardboard box (containing four smaller boxes of 10 bags each), while orders of 10 bags will be shipped in a smaller, custom-designed cardboard box.
These special cardboard boxes feature special “The Mandalorian” branding.
The “Star Wars: The Mandalorian/Black Pepper Chips” do not have a set price, which means that the retail price may vary depending on the seller.
They are now in stock at supermarkets, drugstores, and other stores throughout Japan.
