New Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 Chapter 6 Teaser Visual and Video Released

The official X account for the Space Battleship Yamato remake anime series released a second teaser visual on April 1, 2026, for the sixth chapter of Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199.
The upcoming installment is subtitled Aoi Meikyu, or The Azure Labyrinth, and is scheduled for a theatrical release in Japan on June 26, 2026.

Artist Kia Asamiya, who is responsible for the series image drawings, created the new visual featuring the Yamato vessel sailing through the Tokyo sky with the Tokyo Skytree visible in the background.
In tandem with the social media update, Bandai Namco Filmworks launched a special short video on their official YouTube channel titled Yamato Appears in Tokyo in the Reiwa Era.
This promotional clip depicts the iconic battleship appearing over modern day Tokyo in 2026, showing citizens reacting with amazement while recording the event on their mobile devices.
The Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 project is a seven-chapter series totaling 26 episodes that reimagines the 1980 film Be Forever Yamato while incorporating elements from the Space Battleship Yamato III television series.

The remake is set in the year 2207 and follows the crew of the Yamato as they embark on a new voyage to face a colossal threat known as the Grand Reverse.
The production features a veteran staff, including general director Harutoshi Fukui, director Yamato Naomichi, and character designer Nobuteru Yuki, with animation produced by studio MOTHER.
For international audiences, Crunchyroll is currently streaming the first 18 episodes of the 3199 series in various regions including the United States, Canada, and Great Britain.
