NEW ERA announces Gundam collab caps based on Gundam Wing and GQuuuuuuX
The apparel company STRICT-G, known for incorporating the themes of the Gundam universe into its products, has announced a new collaboration.
The brand will be teaming up with globally recognized sports and lifestyle brand NEW ERA to introduce a collection of new caps inspired by two different series from the Gundam franchise.
These headwear designs draw from the world of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and the recently concluded Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.
The release commemorates a significant milestone, marking the 30th anniversary of the original Mobile Suit Gundam Wing series, a major entry in the franchise’s history.
The caps are designed for a comfortable and stylish fit, suitable for casual wear, and each item in the collection features specific design elements that fans will recognize.
The classic silhouettes provided by NEW ERA serve as the foundation for these specialized designs, with the collection including three distinct models, each with unique design elements:
- STRICT-G NEWERA ‘Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz’ 9FORTY Preventer (with pin)

This cap celebrates the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. It is based on the classic 9FORTY silhouette, which is known for its durable and structured form.
The cap features the Preventer organization’s emblem on the front and an embroidered logo on the right side.
A feather pattern is printed on the underside of the visor.
It includes a special commemorative pin badge and offers a comfortable fit with a curved visor and an adjustable strap.

This snapback cap is based on the NEW ERA 9FIFTY model. The design draws inspiration from the knit hat worn by the protagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, Machu.
It features a unique tall and wide form, a flat visor that can be customized by bending, and an adjustable strap for a perfect fit. A jellyfish-themed pin badge is also included with this cap.

Based on the 9FIFTY snapback cap model, this headwear highlights the series’ branding.
The title logo of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is embroidered in a three-dimensional style on the front.
The right side of the cap features the Pomeranian symbol. This model has the 9FIFTY’s signature tall, wide shape, a flat visor that can be bent to preference, and an adjustable closure for size customization.
The new collection will be available for general purchase starting on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025.
These items can be found at all four STRICT-G store locations: Tokyo Odaiba, Tokyo Solamachi, NEOPASA Shizuoka (downhill), and Taga SA (downhill).
An initial pre-order period has also been made available through the official Premium Bandai online store.
The pre-order window began on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at 1 p.m., and will remain open until Sunday, August 17th, 2025.
Purchases made during this period are scheduled to be shipped in September 2025.
