New Chrono Trigger 30th anniversary orchestra soundtrack album announced

An official orchestral arrangement album has been announced for the legendary RPG, Chrono Trigger.
The new album, titled “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestral Arrangement: The Melody that Crosses Time,” is being released to commemorate the game’s 30th anniversary.

This new CD is a studio recording of the arranged music that will be performed at the upcoming “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert” in January 2026.

That sold-out, 30th-anniversary concert will feature a full performance by the prestigious Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Buc, and will be accompanied by famous scenes from the game.

The album features 10 tracks, which are arranged as medleys to recreate the experience of the game’s story, from its iconic opening to its final battle.

This new album provides a new and exciting way for fans to experience the timeless and beloved score from the classic game.
The “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestral Arrangement: The Melody that Crosses Time” CD is priced at ¥4,180 (approx. $28 USD / £23 GBP).

An exclusive “Mega-Jacket” (a large-sized album cover print) is also being offered as an early purchase bonus at Amazon Japan.

The new album is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, the 14th of January, 2026, just a few days before the concert itself.
