Netflix ONE PIECE “THE BATTLE OF ALABASTA” Confirmed for 2027 Release

Streaming giant Netflix has officially revealed that their live-action adaptation of ONE PIECE is set to return to screens in 2027.

ONE PIECE is a global manga sensation created by Eiichiro Oda that has entertained readers around the world for several decades.

The story follows a young man named Monkey D. Luffy who dreams of finding a legendary treasure and becoming the Pirate King.

He sets sail across a vast and dangerous ocean to gather a loyal crew of misfits affectionately known as the Straw Hat Pirates.

A short teaser video accompanied the announcement online, showing the official live-action series logo against a sweeping desert background:

This animated graphic also revealed the official subtitle for the next live-action series, which will be “THE BATTLE OF ALABASTA.”

Eiichiro Oda continues to serve as an executive producer for the massive project to ensure it remains faithful to his original vision.

The television drama is co-produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix in close partnership with Japanese publisher Shueisha.

This renewal arrives shortly after the incredible global success of the second season, titled “INTO THE GRAND LINE,” which premiered on March 10, 2026.

That second season easily secured the number one spot on the Netflix Weekly Global Top 10 list for three consecutive weeks following its debut.

It managed to reach the top ten rankings in eighty-nine different countries and regions while accumulating an impressive 5.9 million total views.

The sophomore season also successfully claimed the absolute number one position in eighteen of those same international territories.

Fans worldwide can look forward to experiencing this grand desert adventure when Season 3 officially launches exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
