NAKED’s immersive night walk event returns to Natadera Temple for 2025
The immersive art event “NAKED Yoru Sanpo” is set to return to the historic Natadera Temple for its second year.
Produced by the creative company NAKED, INC., this popular “night walk” experience will once again transform the temple grounds into a luminous world of light and sound.
This year’s event is built around the theme of the history and culture of “Komatsu, the Stone Town.”
The experience will feature a fantastical illumination of the temple’s iconic main gate, its pathways, and its three-story pagoda.
These illuminations will be set against the backdrop of the beautiful autumn foliage.
A highlight of the event will be a dynamic projection mapping show displayed upon the temple’s nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty, the “Kigan Yūsenkyō” rock formations.
A number of interactive and hands-on experiences will also be available for visitors.
Guests can carry a “NAKED Distance Lantern” that projects colorful patterns on the ground, or they can receive a unique fortune with the “NAKED Flower Omikuji.”
Other locally-focused activities include a workshop where visitors can create their own accessories using local stone and Kutani ware, as well as a serene, sunset sutra copying experience.
For the first time, areas of the temple that are normally closed to the public will be opened for special, guided “VIP Viewing” tours.
The full lineup of ticket options is as follows:
- Standard Admission (Junior High School & above): ¥2,000
- Standard Admission (Elementary School): ¥1,000
- Ticket with NAKED Distance Lantern (Adult): ¥2,500
- Ticket with NAKED Distance Lantern (Child): ¥1,500
- Experience Set Ticket (Sutra Copying + Admission): ¥5,000
- Experience Set Ticket (Workshop + Adult Admission): ¥4,000
- Experience Set Ticket (Workshop + Child Admission): ¥3,000
The “NAKED Yoru Sanpo – Ishikawa Natadera” will be held at the Natadera Temple in Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture.
The event will run on select Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays between Friday, the 3rd of October, and Sunday, the 26th of October.
