Monster Hunter is turning some of its most recognizable creatures and equipment into real outdoor gear through a new collection designed to work just as well at a campsite as it does at home.

The first-ever collaboration between Capcom’s hunting series and Japanese outdoor brand NANGA has been produced by Shogakukan’s outdoor magazine BE-PAL, bringing together a wearable Palico sleeping bag, Furious Rajang down jacket and two T-shirts.

The pairing is a particularly natural fit for Monster Hunter, a series built around surviving hostile environments, preparing suitable equipment and venturing into the wilderness in pursuit of enormous creatures.

NANGA has developed specialist sleeping bags and down clothing for decades with a strong focus on Japanese manufacturing, high-quality down and equipment capable of handling demanding outdoor conditions.

Its name is taken from Nanga Parbat, the notoriously difficult 8,126-meter Himalayan mountain, reflecting the company’s long-standing philosophy of creating equipment capable of taking on challenging environments.

BE-PAL has used that shared focus on nature, survival and carefully chosen equipment as the basis for the collaboration, rather than treating the Monster Hunter branding as a purely cosmetic addition.

The standout item transforms the Felyne Hope Set worn by Palicoes in Monster Hunter Wilds into a full-size sleeping bag that allows the wearer’s arms and legs to be extended outside, meaning it can be worn around a campsite or while sitting indoors playing the game.

Its outer shell uses 20-denier ripstop nylon while the lining uses 15-denier ripstop nylon, with approximately 400g of recycled down and feather filling providing 650FP insulation.

The sleeping bag measures approximately 190 cm long and weighs around 810g, while its included storage sack has been designed to resemble the backpack carried by the Palico itself.
