mofusand teams up with Zoff to release adorable new cat-themed glasses collection
Japanese eyewear brand Zoff has launched its first-ever collaboration with the popular illustration series, mofusand.
mofusand is a series of illustrations by the artist Juno, which features a variety of cute and slightly surreal “mofumofu,” or “fluffy,” cats, including the iconic, shark-costume-wearing “Same-nyan.”
This new eyewear collection brings the charming world of these cats to a lineup of four different eyeglass models, which are split into two different lines.
The “Casual Line” features two models with subtle designs, which have illustrations of the cats on the temples and a small, paw-print-shaped metal part.
The two models in this line are:
- Kigurumi-nyan Model
This model comes in three different designs featuring cats in shark, panda, and bunny costumes.
- Sweets-nyan Model
Three different designs are available featuring cats surrounded by sweets.
The “Premium Line” features two models with more luxurious and intricate designs, including a “stained glass” style silhouette of a cat on the temples and paw-print-shaped metal parts that are designed to look as if they are supporting the front of the frames.
The two models in this line are:
- Kigurumi-nyan Model
This premium model is available in three designs, with each one featuring cats in shark, bunny, or bee costumes.
- Fruit-nyan Model
The second premium model features three designs of cats wearing fruit-themed hats.
Each pair of glasses in the collection comes with a special, themed case and cleaning cloth with a “Same-nyan” design.
A separate line of other accessories is also being sold, including two fluffy, die-cut cleaning cloths, a soft case, and two stand-up hard cases.
The “Casual Line” glasses are priced at ¥9,900 (approx. $67 USD/£49 GBP), and the “Premium Line” glasses are priced at ¥12,200 (approx. $83 USD/£61 GBP).
The “Zoff | mofusand” collection is now on sale at Zoff retail stores across Japan and on the Zoff official online store.
