Metaphor: ReFantazio Announced for Nintendo Switch 2 with November 2026 Release Date
Atlus has confirmed that the fantasy JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12, 2026.
The announcement took place during the Nintendo Direct showcase on June 9, 2026, where viewers saw footage of the title running on the hardware.
Developed by Studio Zero, the game originally launched in October 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
The story follows a protagonist named Will and his fairy companion Gallica as they travel through the Kingdom of Euchronia.
The pair joins a high-stakes competition to decide the next king following the death of the previous monarch.
This journey allows them to recruit new allies and gain public support while seeking a way to save the cursed prince.
While the game is now expanding its reach to the Switch 2, Atlus has not yet confirmed if the series will receive any direct sequels.
