METAL GEAR SOLID’s “CalorieMate” collab continues with new Amazon Japan promo

A new collaboration has been announced between the nutritional food brand CalorieMate and the upcoming video game “METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER”.
A special promotional page for the new partnership has been launched on Amazon Japan.

This campaign continues a long and iconic history between the two brands.
CalorieMate, a brand of fortified energy food blocks from the company Otsuka Pharmaceutical, was famously featured as an in-game food and healing item in the original 2004 game, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

The food product will once again appear as an in-game item in the upcoming, from-the-ground-up remake.
The new special page on Amazon features a key visual with the game’s protagonist, Snake, alongside the tagline, “If you want to survive, you have to eat.”

A second promotional visual featuring the character EVA has also been revealed.

This new campaign follows a previous collaboration that was held at the Tokyo Game Show in 2024.
The partnership leverages the nostalgic and memorable product placement from the original game, bringing the world of the jungle spy mission to a real-world product.

The new game, METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER, is a full remake of the beloved classic.
It is scheduled to be released this Thursday, the 28th of August.
The Amazon Japan “METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER x CalorieMate” page also showcases a variety of multi-flavor sets of the CalorieMate products that are available for purchase.
