Hello Kitty x TMNT Happy Meal toys coming to McDonald’s US this August

TMNT SANRIO

A new and unexpected collaboration has been announced for the next lineup of McDonald’s US Happy Meal toys, which will be a mashup of Sanrio characters and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The new collection of twelve different toys features Hello Kitty and her friends dressed up as the iconic “heroes in a half-shell.”

This partnership continues a trend of pairing the cute, gentle world of Sanrio with franchises that have a more action-oriented focus, such as a previous collaboration with the Yu-Gi-Oh! series.

The new toy lineup was recently revealed on the official McDonald’s X, after being hinted at in previous promotional images.

The collection includes a total of twelve different figures for fans to collect.

A significant portion of the lineup is dedicated to Hello Kitty herself, who appears in five different variations.

Four of these toys depict Hello Kitty with green “turtle” skin, each one wearing one of the four signature colored bandanas of the main Ninja Turtles: blue for Leonardo, purple for Donatello, orange for Michelangelo, and red for Raphael.

A fifth variant features Hello Kitty in her classic white form, but still wearing Raphael’s red headband alongside her own signature red bow.

The rest of the collection features other popular Sanrio characters dressed in TMNT-themed gear.

These include Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Badtz-Maru, and My Melody.

The toys are sculpted in various action poses, such as kicking stances, but they do not come with the Ninja Turtles’ signature weapons, maintaining a cute and friendly aesthetic.

The new “Hello Kitty x TMNT” Happy Meal promotion is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, the 12th of August, 2025.
