McDonald’s and Sanrio Reveal Adorable New Cinnamoroll Happy Meal Toys

McDonald’s Japan has teamed up with Sanrio to launch a brand-new Happy Meal collection inspired by Cinnamoroll, which will see a series of café-themed toys appear at restaurants across the country this summer.
Cinnamoroll is one of Sanrio’s most popular characters, first debuting in 2002 as a fluffy white puppy with long ears that allow him to fly, and has since become a global fan favorite through merchandise, animated shorts, games and multiple Sanrio Character Ranking victories, although he fell slightly short in 2026, as Pompompurin was revealed as this year’s overall winner.

The new Happy Meal lineup is aimed at children, inviting them to step into Cinnamoroll’s charming world through imaginative café and restaurant-themed roleplay toys designed to encourage creativity, communication and social interaction.

A total of six different toys will be released across three distribution periods during the campaign.
The first wave, beginning on July 10, includes the Cinnamoroll Shop Box, Cinnamoroll Magical Oven and Cinnamoroll Mascot.

The Shop Box lets children create their own pretend café, while the Magical Oven allows them to open the oven and roleplay baking sweet treats.

The Cinnamoroll Mascot can be attached to bags, allowing fans to take the character with them and continue imaginative play wherever they go.

The second wave launches on July 17 and introduces the Cinnamoroll Cash Register, Cinnamoroll Mogu Mogu Kitchen Car and the Cinnamoroll Drink Machine Sticker Stand.

The Cash Register expands the shop roleplay experience, while the Mogu Mogu Kitchen Car encourages children to imagine preparing and serving food from their own mobile café.

The Drink Machine Sticker Stand dispenses collectible stickers, combining interactive play with creative decorating activities while helping develop fine motor skills.

Beginning on July 24, the third distribution period will give customers one randomly selected toy from the complete six-item lineup while supplies last.

During the campaign, McDonald’s Japan will also offer an exclusive in-app collaboration mini-game titled Cinnamoroll Friends’ Happy March Match through the official McDonald’s app, giving fans another way to enjoy the collaboration beyond the toys themselves.

The Happy Meal Cinnamoroll collection will be available for a limited time from July 10, 2026, at participating McDonald’s restaurants across Japan, excluding selected locations.
