Limited-edition Goro Majima themed Like A Dragon watches are now on sale

MAJIMA WATCH

The fashion watch brand Tendence, established in Switzerland in 2007, is set to release its second collaboration model with Sega’s Like a Dragon (formerly Yakuza) game series.

This marks a new partnership nine years after their initial collaboration for Yakuza 6: The Song of Life in 2016.

The Like a Dragon series has gained a dedicated global following for its intricate storylines, engaging combat, and memorable characters set within Japan’s criminal underworld.

Goro Majima, often referred to as “The Mad Dog of Shimano,” is a fan-favorite character known for his erratic behavior, distinct fighting style, and iconic Hannya (demon mask) tattoo.

Majima is regularly the focus of new collaborations and merchandise, with a notable example being a new statue that was recently announced by figure manufacturer Kotobukiya.

The new collaboration watches are based on Tendence’s distinctive 50mm “Gulliver” model, known for its large case and 3D indexes.

The design prominently features Goro Majima’s Hannya tattoo at the center of the dial.

The watch’s unique 3D indexes frame the Hannya, enhancing its visual impact.

The black and gold color scheme of the watch is intended to symbolize the light and shadow of the underworld depicted in the game series, exuding a mysterious allure.

Two distinct models are available in this collaboration: “TY046038” and “TY146013.”

The “TY046038” model offers a strong color contrast. The central tattoo design, inner dial ring, hands, indexes, crown, and buttons are all accented in gold, creating a striking and alluring gleam.

This model also features a half-clear material in the center, allowing a glimpse of the date disc beneath, creating a half-skeleton appearance.

Conversely, the “TY146013” model is predominantly black, giving it a more robust appearance.

Its bezel is adorned with multiple crystals, aiming to evoke the sophistication fitting for a man navigating the city at night.

Both models feature an engraving on the case back of the same snake illustration found on Goro Majima’s eye patch.

It’s noted that due to the screw-down case back, the orientation of this engraving may vary slightly on individual pieces.

Each watch comes in a special sleeve, boldly printed with Goro Majima’s full back tattoo, designed to reflect his intense way of life.
