Liar Game Set for Consecutive Two-Cour Run

The television anime adaptation of the Liar Game manga is scheduled to premiere on April 6, 2026.

Official social media accounts for the production confirmed on March 29, 2026, that the series will run for two consecutive cours.

This broadcast schedule ensures that fans can watch the series from April 2026 through September 2026 without any seasonal breaks.

Crunchyroll previously announced on March 10, 2026, that it will stream the series for members worldwide, with the exception of viewers in Japan and China.

Ahead of the television debut, the first two episodes are slated to premiere at the Sakura-Con 2026 convention.

The upcoming project is being produced at studio MADHOUSE under the direction of chief director Yuzo Sato, who is recognized for his work on Kaiji: The Ultimate Survivor.

Asami Kawano is directing the series while Tatsuhiko Urahata handles the scripts and series composition.

The creative team also features character designer Kei Tsuchiya and composer Yugo Kanno, who recently worked on the anime PLUTO.

The anime is based on the original manga by Shinobu Kaitani, which was serialized in Weekly Young Jump from February 2005 to January 2015.

The manga reached a total of 19 volumes and has inspired several live-action adaptations, including a Japanese drama in 2007 and a Korean drama in 2014.
