Kojima Productions Unveils New Limited-Edition 10th Anniversary Watch Set
To mark the 10th anniversary of Kojima Productions, a new limited-edition collector’s timepiece has been unveiled in collaboration with watchmaker ANICORN, reimagining the studio’s iconic space-suited mascot as a wearable science-fiction artifact.
The “Kojima Productions x ANICORN – Ludens X Watch Set Limited Edition” is supervised by Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa, with Shinkawa also responsible for the intricate design of the watch’s technical dial.
Ludens serves as the official mascot of Kojima Productions, depicted in an Extra-Vehicular Activity Creative Suit that symbolises exploration, creativity and humanity’s drive to venture beyond known boundaries.
This new interpretation continues that philosophy, presenting the concept of an “EVA Creative Suit on the wrist” and extending the themes of play, time and space into a compact mechanical form.
The design adopts a noticeably darker and more cinematic aesthetic than previous interpretations, featuring a black stainless steel case, exposed screws, gold-tone accents and layered mechanical-style panels that evoke futuristic engineering.
The dial is densely constructed, giving the impression of a miniature sci-fi device, with gold detailing used to highlight its depth and structure against the predominantly black surface.
At its core, the watch is powered by a modified NH35-ATD automatic movement, offering approximately 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound, and is visible through an exhibition caseback.
A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the hour and minute hands are finished in brushed and polished metal and filled with white Super-LumiNova BGW9, emitting a blue glow in low-light environments.
The set includes two interchangeable strap options: a black stainless steel bracelet and a carbon fibre-pattern leather strap, allowing the watch to shift between a more industrial or refined presentation.
Also included is the exclusive LUDENS X Black Cuff Bracelet, finished in matte black with gold-tone engraved detailing, extending the mecha-inspired armour language of Ludens beyond the watch itself.
Completing the collector experience is a specially produced metal-printed warranty card, individually numbered and presented in a sealed display case featuring Kojima Productions × ANICORN branding, anniversary markings and Ludens-inspired artwork.
The full LUDENS X Watch Set includes the timepiece, the Black Cuff Bracelet, and the numbered metal print warranty card with its presentation case.
The set is presented under the tagline “BEYOND THE STRAND. INTO OUTER SPACE.” reflecting Kojima Productions’ ongoing thematic exploration of connection, isolation and expansion beyond Earthly limits.
The Kojima Productions x ANICORN – Ludens X Watch Set Limited Edition is priced at $940 USD (approx. £697 GBP) and will be available through ANICORN’s official store.
Pre-orders are scheduled to open at 10PM EDT on 5 August 2026, 10AM HKT on 6 August 2026, and 11AM JST on 6 August 2026, with shipping expected to begin in January 2027.
