Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME reveals new rewards as over 500,000 users pre-register
The upcoming mobile and PC game, Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, has officially surpassed 500,000 pre-registrations worldwide.
The game is a joint project from Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G, based on the massively popular manga by Naoya Matsumoto, which has over 18 million copies in circulation.
The story follows the members of the Japan Defense Force as they battle monstrous creatures known as Kaiju.
To celebrate hitting the half-million pre-registration milestone, a new reward has been added to the ongoing campaign.
Previously, it was announced that all players would receive a 4-star version of the character Mina Ashiro at launch.
Now, a new goal has been set: if pre-registrations reach 850,000, all players will also receive a 4-star version of the character Soshiro Hoshina.
In addition to the pre-registration news, new promotional materials for the character Gen Narumi have also been released.
Gen Narumi is the captain of the Defense Force’s First Division and is known as its most powerful member.
A new in-game illustration of the character has been unveiled, showing him with his signature sharp gaze alongside his personal weapon.
A new character-focused promotional video for Gen Narumi has also been released.
The new PV showcases the captain’s calm demeanor and overwhelming combat strength, with high-quality action sequences that replicate the feel of the anime and manga.
The pre-registration campaign for Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME is currently underway, with players able to sign up to receive a variety of in-game items and characters when the game officially launches.
Kaiju No. 8 characters will also feature in the upcoming Shonen Jump mobile game “Jump+ Jumble Rush” which is set for release later this year.
