Jynx Takes Center Stage in Pokémon’s New Official Haircare Collab Collection

Pokémon is officially moving into hair care for a new collaboration with Japanese beauty brand ORBIS that is set to star Pikachu, Ditto, Jigglypuff and Jynx.
The limited-edition collection will bring special Pokémon packaging to four products from ORBIS’ long-running “Essence In” series, with Jynx receiving an especially fitting role as the face of its intensive Hair Mask.

ORBIS’ Essence In range has been available for around 15 years and focuses on affordable, largely fragrance-free products designed to repair damaged hair, improve moisture and create a smoother finish.
The series has become particularly successful in Japan through the “Essence In Hair Milk,” which gained attention through social media before reaching the number one market share position in its category.

Four Pokémon have been selected for the new collaboration, with each character appearing on a different product.
The “Essence In Hair Mask” features Jynx, whose long blonde hair makes the Pokémon one of the more obvious choices for a hair care collaboration and has also resulted in it receiving the most prominent position in the collection’s announcement artwork.

The mask itself is an intensive wash-out treatment intended for use around once or twice a week, with its formula designed to penetrate damaged hair and leave it smoother and easier to manage.
The Pokémon-design “Essence In Hair Mask” is expected to retain the standard 200g format which is normally priced at ¥1,540 (approx. $10 USD / £7 GBP).
Pikachu appears on the “Essence In Hair Milk,” the best-known product in the range and a leave-in treatment designed to repair damaged hair while adding moisture without leaving a particularly heavy finish.

The standard bottle contains 140g and is priced at ¥1,320 (approx. $8 USD / £6 GBP), with the product suitable for use on either damp hair after washing or during styling.
Ditto takes over the recently introduced “Essence In Hair Oil,” which joined the wider Essence In range earlier in 2026 as a treatment aimed at creating longer-lasting shine and helping hair remain smooth through the following morning.

Its formula uses nano-sized moisturizing and repair ingredients intended to remain within the hair while also helping close and smooth the cuticle, with the standard 70mL bottle priced at ¥1,430 (approx. $9 USD / £7 GBP).
The final design pairs Jigglypuff with the “Treatment Hair Water,” a mist that can be used after washing or as part of a morning routine to add moisture, control spreading and help protect hair before blow-drying.

The standard 180mL bottle is priced at ¥1,100 (approx. $7 USD / £5 GBP), making it the least expensive of the four Pokémon releases.
This is not the first time ORBIS has paired the Essence In range with recognizable characters, with a 2025 Sanrio collaboration producing limited bottles featuring Cinnamoroll, Pochacco and Pompompurin across the Hair Milk, Treatment Hair Water and Hair Mask.

That earlier collection used sleeping Sanrio characters across retro-inspired packaging, while the new Pokémon release expands the collaboration format to four products following the addition of the Hair Oil to the series in 2026.
The Pokémon x ORBIS Essence In collection will be released in Japan on November 20, 2026, with all four designs being produced in limited quantities.
