Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 drops new trailer, announces January 2026 premiere

The broadcast date of the third season of the popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen has been officially announced, along with the release of a new teaser promotional video.

The announcement was made on Sunday, the 31st of August, during a special broadcast celebrating the anime’s fifth anniversary.

The new season will be titled “Culling Game – Part 1” and it is scheduled to begin its broadcast in January of 2026.

The “Culling Game” is the next major storyline from the original manga by Gege Akutami, following the devastating events of the “Shibuya Incident” arc.

The new teaser PV opens with a shot of a conflicted Yuji Itadori sitting on a staircase, along with the line, “I can’t be with everyone anymore.”

The video then shows the special grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu, the protagonist of the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, appearing before a despairing Yuji.

The trailer features a snippet of the intense and highly anticipated battle between Yuji and Yuta, one of the most popular confrontations from the original manga.

Other key characters, including Megumi Fushiguro, Choso, Maki Zen’in, and Yuki Tsukumo, are also shown in the new footage, signaling the beginning of the new and chaotic “Culling Game” arc.

This new season promises to bring one of the manga’s most complex and action-packed storylines to life.

Fans will also be given a chance to see some of the new season early, thanks to a new movie.

To bridge the gap between the second and third seasons, a special theatrical event titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution will be released.

This presentation will feature a newly edited compilation of the “Shibuya Incident” arc, followed by a world premiere screening of the first two episodes of the new “Culling Game” season.

The Japanese theatrical release is scheduled for Friday, the 7th of November, with a North American release to follow on the 5th of December, 2025.
