Initial D merchandise now on sale at Tokyo's Narita Airport

Initial D merchandise based on the AE86 Trueno and the first volume of the manga is now available to purchase at Narita Airport.

Fans of the series can pick up a wet wipe case that recreates the iconic black and white Toyota AE86 Trueno driven by Takumi Fujiwara or a bento box based on the first volume of the manga.

Online pre-orders for the wet wipe case originally opened at start of the year and full sales are now underway.

Originally only available via the manufacturers website, sales of the wet wipe case first expanded to the Osaka Auto Messe 2025 exhibition.

The wet wipe case can now be purchased from the Akihabara PLUS store located in the Narita Airport Terminal 2 Departure area located after immigration controls.

It is 27cm long, and features details such as the brake calipers visible behind the wheels, retractable headlights, rotating wheels and an accurately recreated grille.

Two versions have been created, the first based on the Trueno’s original appearance with the Fujiwara Tofu Shop livery and the second based on its later appearance in the series as part of Project D when it has a black carbon fiber hood.

Currently only the case based on the Trueno’s original appearance in available at Narita Airport with the Project D version remaining an online exclusive.

The sale price at Akihabara PLUS has not been confirmed, but it should be expected to be around the same cost as orders placed via Camshop.jp where it costs 7,700 yen (approx. $49.74 USD / £40.06 GBP).

A new bento box based on the first volume of the manga is also available:

It features the same images on its front and rear as the manga’s debut volume did back in 1995.

Only 300 units of the bento box have been made available to the Akihabara PLUS store at Narita Airport, but it can still be purchased online from the manufacturers website with international shipping available through WorldShopping.

As with the wet wipe case, no in-store pricing has been confirmed but the bento box costs 3,850 yen (approx. $24.88 USD / £20.02 GBP) plus shipping if ordered online, so the in-store price can be expected to be around the same.
