Identity V’s new Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End crossover event is set to begin
A new, large-scale collaboration event between the 1-on-4 asymmetrical multiplayer game Identity V and the popular anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is set to begin.
The event will immerse the gothic world of the Manor in the fantasy aesthetic of Frieren, with a wide range of new costumes, furniture, and a special interactive map.
A lineup of new, limited-time costumes will be released, allowing existing Identity V characters to dress up as the heroes and villains from the anime.
Costumes for Frieren, Fern, Stark, and Aura will be available through the in-game “Essence” gacha system.
A separate costume for the hero, Himmel, will be available for direct purchase in the in-game shop.
Two different in-game events will also be held concurrently.
In the “Frieren’s Manor Tour” event, players can complete daily login and match tasks to earn a variety of rewards, including a free SSR costume of the character Sein for the Adventurer.
A second event, “Decipher the Grimoire,” allows players to obtain a free SR-rarity accessory, the “Meteorologist’s Grimoire,” just by logging in.
This accessory can then be upgraded to SSR and even UR rarity by collecting “Magic Shards” through gameplay and in-game purchases.
The collaboration also introduces a new, limited-time public map for players to explore.
On this “Unknown Adventure” map, players can interact with the Frieren characters, experience an event-exclusive story, and participate in mini-games.
By completing all the tasks on this map, players can earn a free SSR furniture item, the “Statue of Himmel the Hero.”
Other new furniture, including a Mimic and the Crimson Mirror Dragon, will be available for purchase in a special, discounted pack.
The Identity V and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End collaboration is scheduled to begin on Thursday, the 7th of August, 2025, following the game’s maintenance.
