Iconic anime Fullmetal Alchemist gets its own official fragrance range
Japanese character fragrance specialty brand, primaniacs, has announced a new collection of scents based on the world of the popular anime and manga series, Fullmetal Alchemist.
Primaniacs is a brand that aims to express a character’s “presence” through fragrance, creating scents designed to evoke the feeling that the character is right there with you.
The brand has previously released a number of anime-themed fragrances, including a range based on the popular series One Punch Man.
This new collection translates the personalities and beliefs of five of Fullmetal Alchemist’s main characters into complex perfumes.
Fullmetal Alchemist, created by Hiromu Arakawa, is one of the most critically acclaimed and beloved manga series of all time.
The new product line features fragrances for the two protagonists, Edward and Alphonse Elric, their childhood friend and mechanic, Winry Rockbell, the State Alchemist, Roy Mustang and his Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye.
The lineup of five different fragrances is as follows:
- Edward Elric
A “Citrus Amber” scent designed to represent his strong, unbreakable will, with top notes of lemon and bergamot, a middle of jasmine and osmanthus, and a base of musk and cedarwood.
- Alphonse Elric
A “Citrus Musky” scent for his resilient yet gentle nature, with top notes of lime and tangerine, a middle of apricot and green apple, and a base of white musk and plum.
- Winry Rockbell
A “Shiny Floral” scent representing her strength in waiting for the brothers to return, with top notes of orange and pineapple, a heart of neroli and rose, and a base of amber and musk.
- Roy Mustang
A “Spicy Fougère” scent that evokes his burning ambition, with top notes of thyme and black pepper, a middle of jasmine and lavender, and a base of musk and sandalwood.
- Riza Hawkeye
A “Green Floral” scent for her noble and protective pledge, with top notes of mint and green notes, a middle of rose and bluebell, and a base of white cedar and musk.
Each of the five fragrances in the collection is priced at ¥7,920.
Pre-orders for the new collection are now open via the primaniacs online shop, with shipping scheduled to start on the 9th of October, 2025.
The fragrances will also have a general in-store release at the primaniacs flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo.
The in-store launch is scheduled for Friday, the 3rd of October, 2025.
