Hunter x Hunter’s Chimera Ant Arc Hero Kite Comes Back To Life In New Official Release
Good Smile Company has announced a new addition to its budget-friendly POP UP PARADE figure range, introducing a collectible based on Kite from the acclaimed anime and manga series Hunter x Hunter.
The character plays a crucial role within the story as a disciple of Ging Freecss and the individual whose influence motivates Gon Freecss to pursue the path of becoming a Hunter.
As a Nen user belonging to the Conjurer category, Kite wields the unique ability known as Crazy Slots, which randomly generates one of nine different weapons for combat.
His natural talent for interacting with and attracting animals from an early age eventually led him to specialize as a Hunter focused on biological and ecological field research.
During the Chimera Ant storyline, Kite headed an investigation team tasked with examining the growing threat posed by the Chimera Ants.
The character ultimately became one of the arc’s most memorable figures after confronting the Royal Guard member Neferpitou alone in order to protect Gon and Killua, sacrificing himself in the process.
The new POP UP PARADE figure stands approximately 20 cm tall and faithfully recreates Kite’s distinctive appearance from the series.
His long white hair, blue hunter’s cap, and lean physique have been carefully reproduced, creating a striking contrast with the enormous scythe generated through his Nen ability.
The pose depicts Kite with his head slightly lowered while one hand touches the brim of his hat, allowing his intense stare to remain the focal point of the display.
Particular attention has been given to the recreation of Crazy Slots, including the detailed paint application and the number 2 emerging from the weapon’s mouth, matching its appearance in the series.
The oversized scythe has been finished with a metallic-style surface treatment, while the blade itself features intricate sculpted detailing that enhances its imposing presence.
The figure was sculpted by Manmonyan of CONNECTRECT, with paintwork completed by Tomofumi of WATANA BOX.
Pre-orders are now available through the official Good Smile Company Online Store as well as established hobby retailers including HobbyLink Japan.
The figure is scheduled for release in November 2026 and carries a retail price of 7,500 yen (approx. $52 USD/ £38 GBP).
